Tom Hardy was not fired from Mobland, despite reports that he was fired due to “issues on set.”
“Tom was not fired, the door to Season 3 is not closed, and things are moving forward creatively,” a production source told Variety on Thursday.
The newspaper reported that Guy Ritchie, who executive produced and directed several episodes of both seasons of the Paramount+ series, may be “lobbing to make it happen” with David Glasser, whose 101 studio produces the show.
“He loves working with Tom,” the source claimed.
Page Six reached out to Hardy, Paramount+ and 101 Studios for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
Last week, reports surfaced that the Venom star, 48, had been fired from his role as Harry da Sousa.
Sources say Hardy was consistently late on production during the second season. They also claimed that he frequently wrote notes on the script, changed lines, and was angry at the ensemble cast, including Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.
A source told the Daily Mail that Hardy’s late behavior has “infuriated” the “Queen” actress, 80, and she is “becoming increasingly frustrated with Tom and his attitude.”
Another source told The Hollywood Reporter that the Peaky Blinders alum “refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time.”
“He kept the cast waiting.[It’s]a power play,” the source claimed. “I’d wager it would be career suicide to keep Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren waiting.”
Mr. Hardy has not publicly responded to the allegations.
Instead, the Mad Max: Fury Road star secretly attended the star-studded Masters of the Universe afterparty in London on Wednesday night.
Hardy avoided the red carpet by wearing a brown patterned short-sleeve button-down with white pants and sneakers.
