Tom Hardy has made his first public appearance since it was reported that he was fired from MobLand.
The actor attended the star-studded Masters of the Universe afterparty in London on Wednesday night, as seen in photos obtained by Page Six.
Hardy, 48, arrived at the bash late in the evening, narrowly avoiding the red carpet.
For the event, the “Mad Max: Fury Road” star wore a brown patterned short-sleeved button-down with white pants and sneakers.
Hardy’s low-key outing comes a week after reports surfaced that he was being dropped from Mobland after playing lead character Harry Da Souza for two seasons on the hit Paramount+ series.
A source told Variety that his firing was due to “on-set issues” with executive producer Jez Butterworth and 101 Studios.
In addition, Pac News reported that Hardy was constantly late to production, frequently leaving notes on the script, changing lines, and becoming angry with the ensemble cast, which included big stars like Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.
The outlet also claimed that Hardy’s behavior nearly led to Butterworth quitting, which led to Hardy’s firing from Paramount.
New details have since emerged about Hardy and Mirren’s on-set relationship, with Mirren reportedly furious at her actions.
“Tom’s character is charming. He’s a gentle person, but when the cameras stop he’s the complete opposite. Dame Helen is fun. She’s a total professional and has worked with a lot of people over the years,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“She is becoming increasingly frustrated with Tom and his attitude,” the source continued. “He is sometimes late for filming, which is a nuisance to Dame Helen, who is very professional and disciplined. His tone, along with his tardiness, is something Dame Helen doesn’t like.”
Sources claimed that Hardy “struts like a king” and is “very, very arrogant” on set.
“Everything has become quite personal between them,” the source added. “I feel like Tom is winding her up.”
Another source told The Hollywood Reporter that Hardy’s “career suicide” was due to his repeated tardiness on the set of the hit show.
“He refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time,” a source told the outlet, claiming that Hardy “kept the cast waiting” as a “power play.”
“I’d wager it would be career suicide to keep Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren waiting.”
Representatives for Mr. Hardy did not respond to multiple requests for comment from Page Six.
The “Venom” actor has reportedly clashed several times on set with his co-stars over the years, including Charlize Theron, Shia LeBeouf and Patrick Stewart.
