Season 6 of “Only Murders in the Building” is going to be very different.
The cast bravely made their way around London, taking fans with them to share photos and videos on social media and give them a behind-the-scenes look at the filming of the upcoming season of the Hulu show.
But star Selena Gomez’s latest photo will make you do a double take. Because the brand new hairstyle she debuted makes her look like a completely different person and not her on-screen character Mabel Mora.
In the new post, the actress flashes her coppery red hair styled in shoulder-length curls, a stark contrast to her signature dark brown locks.
“While I was loving London, something crazy happened with @onlymurdershulu 💕,” she wrote in the caption.
She shared a selfie taken from above and a video featuring Gomez lying on a bed in her trailer and zooming into a mirror to admire her new look.
“Wow, I love red!!” Ashley Park wrote in the post, while a fan responded: “That redhead looks great on you.”
It’s likely a wig, but as Gomez has shared behind-the-scenes images of her black hair and all the love she’s received for her fiery locks in just a few hours, this could be a step toward future changes.
It also looks like bright wigs could be a theme this season, at least according to a post shared by Steve Martin. The post shows the actor alongside Gomez and Martin Short, alongside Jennifer Saunders, who is sporting a neon pink bob with bangs.
Back in 2025, Gomez tried a different hairstyle using a wig and adding bangs to her forehead to adjust her size. Of the temporary style, she writes: “I would, but I’d never do it because I’d regret it and have to do it all over again.”
