Ormax Media’s new Ormax StreamView report is dominated by cricket properties, with ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 garnering an estimated 246 million viewers on JioHotstar between January and June 2026, more than any other title tracked by the measurement framework.
Indian Premier League 2026 was also streamed on JioHotstar and followed closely with 228.4 million viewers, ranking second overall. “India’s Got Latent” Season 2 and “Dhurandhar” came in third and fourth place respectively, while the India vs. New Zealand cricket series rounded out the top five with 30.5 million viewers. Launched in January 2026, Ormax StreamView (OSV) is designed to track long-form content across OTT originals, General Entertainment Channel (GEC) programming, feature films, non-fiction, sports and news, and is an expansion from the company, which previously focused solely on Hindi and international originals.
Ormax founder and CEO Shailesh Kapur said the initiative was built to answer a broader question: “What is India watching on OTT (streaming)?” Ormax said the goal reflects how viewer behavior has changed as streaming consumption becomes “broader and more complex” and viewers move fluidly between formats, genres, languages and platforms.
Outside of cricket, India’s Got Latent season 2, distributed through Samay Raina’s YouTube channel and Netflix, topped non-sports content with a projected lifetime viewership of 38.5 million across all 10 episodes. Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Dhurandal’ topped the Hindi theatrical charts with 35.2 million viewers on Netflix and JioHotstar, while its sequel ‘Dhurandar: The Revenge’ is expected to reach 27.8 million viewers.
In the web series category, Amazon MX Player’s ‘Made in India: A Titan Story’ topped the list with 17.8 million viewers, beating JioHotstar’s ‘Chiraiya’ with 16.3 million viewers. Among non-Hindi Indian films, Prabhas-starrer ‘The RajaSaab’ topped the charts with 17.5 million viewers on JioHotstar. In the international content category, Prime Video’s “Off Campus” led web series with 8 million viewers, while “Avatar: Fire and Ash” topped international films with 7.2 million viewers.
Ormax said viewership estimates are derived from a weekly primary survey of more than 3,000 respondents, combining online surveys and a dedicated audience panel, and are projected using universe numbers from the company’s 2025 OTT Audience Report. This number represents the number of unique individual viewers who watched a title for at least 30 minutes and excludes international viewers and short-form video content such as reels and microdramas.
