Actress Katie Holmes and artist Jason Byrd Yarmosky sparked romance rumors after they were spotted holding hands in the Hamptons on July 10, 2026.
Their first public appearance was at the Easthampton Regal UA in New York to see Olivia Wilde’s film The Invite.
They looked devastated as Mr. Yarmoski reportedly whispered in the “Dawson’s Creek” alum’s ear and the alum couldn’t wipe the smile from her face all night, an eyewitness told People.
Rumors of a relationship were fueled after the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other during a dinner outing in the Big Apple on July 14.
A photo obtained by Page Six showed Holmes and Yarmosky arm in arm during the outing.
Page Six is breaking down everything we know about Yarmosky.
he is an artist
Born in 1987, Yarmosky is a New York native who graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2010, according to his website.
He had an extensive career as an artist from an early age, and his grandparents, Elaine and Leonard Byrd, are the subjects of several of his portraits.
His visionary practice combines “traditional painting techniques of the 17th and 18th centuries” with “modern imagery” and focuses on aging.
Yarmosky explains that his art sends a message that “humor and imagination persist in the face of loss.”
His work has been exhibited in exhibitions throughout New York, Paris, Los Angeles, and Belgium, including the Brooklyn Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and Addison Gallery of American Art.
he is inspired by his grandparents
Yarmosky’s biggest muses are his grandparents, who, according to his website, allowed him to “explore the complex aspects of growing older, including vulnerability, compassion, wisdom, and humor.”
In an April 2026 interview with Numero New York, he explained that some of his hyper-realistic paintings depict his grandmother Elaine in the form of a rabbit and his grandfather Leonard in the form of a cowboy.
Yarmosky used some of the paintings inspired by his grandparents, which explore physical and psychological aging, in the Guildhall exhibition “Time Has Many Faces,” which ran from January 2026 to April 2026 in the East Hamptons.
Yarmosky’s grandfather passed away in April 2020, and her grandmother passed away from Alzheimer’s disease in 2018.
he lives on long island
After his grandparents died, Yarmosky moved from Brooklyn, New York, to his cousin’s beach house on Long Island.
Grief-stricken, he told T Magazine, a New York Times publication, in 2021 that the house had “become[my]diary.”
“I put all my notes and ideas, whether drawings or writing, on every corner of the wall, and then I take them off and put other things on them. I found a space for all my thoughts,” the painter said.
Yarmosky, who was temporarily unable to create art, explained that her oceanfront home gave her space to “cope with loss and grief in a pressure-free space.”
He met Holmes in June 2026
Sources tell TMZ that Yarmosky and Holmes met at a dinner at the Tribeca Festival in New York in June 2026.
Another source told People magazine that he and Suri Cruise’s mother appeared to know each other well when they went to see “The Invite” on July 10.
“He was whispering in her ear and she was laughing. They seemed so comfortable together and had a smile on her face all night,” the source said.
“During the movie, they were sitting together and at one point she was resting her head on his shoulder. It looked so cute.”
