Better late than never.
Rihanna showed up at her best friend Melissa Ford’s birthday party early Monday morning.
Pergola, a Mediterranean restaurant at the Nomad, was buzzing Sunday night until 3 a.m., and the “Umbrella” singer could be heard making a late appearance.
“Rihanna came in around 2am in the last hour and surprised her,” the spy says. “She had four or five bags of gifts.”
Unfortunately, it seems that the birthday girl could not open anything in front of the guests.
The two met in Barbados when they were 14 years old.
Photographer M. Dallas is often spotted with Rihanna. She has created hat collections for New Era and Opening Ceremony.
The bash reportedly included money with M. Dallas’ face printed on it, and Rihanna and guests danced to rapper Sexy Red’s hit song.
The “Work” singer’s partner A$AP Rocky didn’t show up to the party. According to TMZ, there were about 20 guests and she was accompanied by a bodyguard.
