Toho Corporation, GEA Live, and RoadCo Entertainment have announced that “My Hero Academia in Concert,” a live show by a 15-piece band featuring Yuki Hayashi’s anime music and footage from the series, will tour the United States this fall.
U.S. dates will begin on September 12th in Farmington, New Mexico, with subsequent dates extending from the West Coast, including Los Angeles and San Francisco, to Brooklyn on the East Coast. The run follows a debut in 10 European cities, also scheduled for fall 2026.
The show depicts all eight seasons of the anime, with key sequences projected onto a large screen and a live band performing synchronized Hayashi songs, including the well-known themes “You Say Run” and “You Can Be a Hero.” The production will premiere at Pacifico Yokohama in Japan on May 30th before heading overseas.
“When this music is performed live, the story takes on a whole new dimension and the audience feels it even more deeply,” said Floris Douwes, producer and managing director of GEA Live. “Hayashi’s compositions don’t just accompany the action; they drive emotion and intensify every moment during the performance. We’re excited to bring this experience to passionate fans across the United States for the first time.”
A Toho spokesperson added, “The world of “My Hero Academia” will become more realistic than ever before.” “This concert will give U.S. fans the first opportunity to experience the music, action and heart of the series live on stage, creating unforgettable moments for audiences around the world.”
This tour will be held in conjunction with the series’ 10th anniversary (the anime first aired in April 2016), and the milestone year will also see the release of a commemorative logo, special visuals, and the announcement of brand new additional episodes. Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga supports the scale of this series. It has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, grossed over $130 million at the global box office, and has over 4.3 million social media followers.
The show is based on Horikoshi’s manga and follows a quirkless boy named Izuku Midoriya, who pursues his dream of becoming a hero after the most powerful hero of his time inherits his powers. Midoriya practices with his fellow first-year class A students at UA High School, where the demands of heroism and villainy come at them from every direction.
