Louis Tomlinson has seemingly confirmed recent reports of an ongoing feud with Zayn Malik by “unfollowing” the former One Direction band member on social media.
Page Six has confirmed that Tomlinson no longer follows Malik on Instagram following claims that the “Pillow Talk” hitmaker punched Tomlinson in a bar brawl, leaving Tomlinson with a concussion.
However, as of this report, it appears Malik is still pursuing Tomlinson.
Representatives for Tomlinson and Malik did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Sources claim the incident occurred while the two musicians were filming a three-part Netflix documentary series.
Malik is said to have made negative comments about Tomlinson’s late mother Johanna Deakin, who died of leukemia in 2016.
“There was an argument and then Zayn made a comment about Louis’ mother Johanna[Deakin],” a source told The Sun newspaper on Friday.
“Louis was stunned and in shock. As he tried to move, Zayn attacked him. Zayn punched him square in the face. He was wearing a ring and it cut Louis’ head.”
“He was removed and Louis was treated. He suffered a concussion. This happened outside in front of a lot of people. It was shocking.”
Officials added that the two have not been in contact since the fight broke out six months ago.
As a result of this incident, Netflix is said to have frozen the documentary series.
The documentary was announced in October and is expected to have a release date in 2026. The project followed Tomlinson and Malik as they traveled across America.
Along the way, they were expected to talk about their memories of being in boy bands and their late bandmate Liam Payne.
