Katie Holmes gave a thumbs up to comments suggesting she and Joshua Jackson should be a couple.
Holmes recently shared an upload to Instagram of herself and Jackson hugging their Dawson’s Creek co-stars in their new movie, Happy Hour.
“I’m so excited to be at the Tribeca Film Festival this June with our film ‘Happy Hour.’ So many beautiful people worked on this project and it was a dream to work with Josh again,” she captioned the photo on April 16, followed by “likes” from fans who wrote, “I hope it was a big launch,” and another who said they “should be a couple.”
Other comments flooded in as well, with one gushed, “This is a marriage that should happen in real life 😍🥰😍,” while another agreed: “Please heal our millennial hearts by getting married in real life 💖.”
Fans weren’t the only ones excited about the on-screen pairing. “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love this,” wrote Kimberly Van Der Beek, whose husband James Van Der Beek passed away in February after a battle with colon cancer.
Rebecca Gayheart added: “Seeing you two together in this photo makes me so happy ❤️.”
Representatives for Holmes and Jackson did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment Tuesday.
Holmes and Jackson, both 47, starred as on-screen couple Pacey Witter and Joey Potter on the popular WB series from 1998 to 2003.
The former couple, who posed for photographers at a red carpet reunion in New York City last week, dated from 1998 to 1999 while filming the hit series.
Holmes married Hollywood legend Tom Cruise in 2006, just months after welcoming daughter Suri Cruise, now 20.
The two divorced in 2012, and Holmes has since been rumored to have relationships with Jamie Foxx, Emilio Vitolo Jr., and Bobby Wooten III.
Meanwhile, Jackson dated model Diane Kruger from 2006 to 2016, and eventually married Jodie Turner-Smith in 2018, with whom he has a 6-year-old daughter, Juno. The former couple finalized their divorce in May last year.
Jackson previously addressed his current relationship with Holmes when discussing Van Der Beek’s cancer diagnosis.
“Busy[Phillips]and Michelle[Williams]are very, very close, and Katie and I are very close,” he said during an April 2025 appearance on the Dinners on Me podcast.
“It’s not a daily call,” he said of his connection with his former co-star. “Sometimes it’s not a weekly, monthly, or semi-annual call. But when you’re together, there’s always something that, A, I know you know.”
“And Mr. B, when it comes to important moments in your life, there’s probably no one else in your life who has been more trained than your husband,” he added.
“Cause you’ve had to go through the good, the bad, and the happy, but don’t fk you, don’t talk to me, and I love you.”
Prior to that, Holmes included Jackson in her comments about her former Dawson’s Creek co-stars, telling The Sunday Times in 2024: “We’re all grown up and busy, but the bond will be there forever.”
