Actor Kate Mansi is leaving “General Hospital,” where she played the role of Christina Corinthos Davis for three years.
It is learned that the final episode of Mansi will be aired in June.
News of Mansi’s departure was first reported by Soap Opera Network on Sunday and confirmed by soap journalist Stephanie Sloan, along with comments from Mansi and General Hospital executive producer and showrunner Frank Valentini.
Mansi joined “General Hospital” in 2023 after appearing on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives” for nine years. In “General Hospital,” she stepped into the role previously played by Lexi Unsworth.
Mansi was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award last year for her work on “General Hospital.” She won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2017 for her role as Abigail Deveraux on Days of Our Lives. She directed two episodes of “General Hospital” during her time on the show.
Mansi told Sloan that it was her decision to leave the show once her current contract ended. She called her time on “General Hospital” “a very rewarding and unforgettable journey. I loved being a fiery Corinth Davis girl in such an amazing family.”
“We love Kate and support her decision to leave,” Valentini said in a statement, suggesting he would welcome Kate back. “The door is always open and we are grateful for everything she has added to the show over the past three years,” he said.
Mansi’s other credits include the Amazon/Freevee drama series “Casa Grande,” which aired in 2023, followed by the film “Casa Grande,” which was released on Prime Video earlier this month. She headlined the 2019 NBC miniseries “Days of Our Lives: Chad and Abby in Paris.” Mansi also starred in the 2020 independent feature film Legend of the Muse.
