Jennifer Lopez was ridiculed online Wednesday for acting like a “diva” in New York City.
A video circulating on social media showed the “Hustlers” actress, 56, standing in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel, waiting for hotel guests to clear the way so paparazzi could better photograph her exit.
The clip shows Lopez letting her team and hotel guests leave first, including one with a baby, before pausing by the door before making a grand entrance.
When he finally made his exit, the “On the Floor” hitmaker took the time to wave to the cameras and smile as he climbed into a waiting vehicle.
It’s clear that the singer was ready to face the cameras, as she wore a very chic ensemble that featured a belted tan fur jacket and a brown midi-length skirt. She accessorized with some gold jewelry, a clutch bag, and a pair of shades.
It didn’t take long for netizens to share their opinions on Lopez’s flaunting of her celebrity status, and many nasty jokes were made about Lopez’s calm demeanor.
One social media user commented: “She’s just standing there like a Marvel villain 😂😂😂.” Meanwhile, another person said, “Just walk to your dog’s car.”
A third Instagram user wrote: “These people are so out of touch with reality.”
“She’s so full of herself 🙄🥴 Hahaha…girl, the earth could split in two and swallow you as fast as anyone else 😆 Get the F off that high horse! SMH 🤭”
However, some J.Lo fans came to the “Let’s Get Loud” singer’s defense.
“Remember being a paparazzi is an actual job. I know they appreciate the fact that Jlo took the time to be a model. People really need to stop being hated,” one person commented.
“Divas always wait for the runway to clear before entering. J.Lo is top notch 🤏 all day hater 🖐,” someone else said.
