The clutch is Katy Perry!
The “Roar” singer quelled a potentially awkward moment at the premiere of her new concert film “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris” at the Tribeca Film Festival.
During Monday’s screening, the projector stopped working while she was shown singing “CRUSH” in the live music documentary, prompting exasperated groans from the audience.
The 41-year-old pop star immediately jumped out of her seat, urged the audience to pick up where she left off, and led the enthusiastic crowd in a chorus of hits from her album 143.
After a few seconds, the movie thankfully turned back on, allowing Perry and her boyfriend Justin Trudeau to enjoy the rest of the show.
The documentary was filmed over two nights in Paris during Perry’s 91-concert “Lifetime” tour around the world.
At Monday’s premiere, the couple appeared on the red carpet for the first time and happily posed for photos.
Indoors, they continued to show their love. They were also seen holding hands, hugging each other, and dancing to concert footage.
After the film, Perry sat down for a Q&A with music journalist Thomas Mir and revealed that she was “in love” with the former Canadian Prime Minister, 54, describing him as “the love of my life”.
“Every day is a great journey,” she said. “And every day is an opportunity to evolve, be a better person, do the right thing, and be an example to our community and the world. Now, after 91 shows, I feel more grounded as an individual in many aspects of my life.”
Perry added that they are “very much in love” and credits Trudeau for making her feel safe.
“I’m a little bit of a rainbow kite,” the “Last Friday Night” singer explained. “I’m flying so high…sometimes I need to be anchored, and when I have that anchor, I finally feel really sane.”
The couple, who officially joined Instagram in December and merged their families, will soon celebrate their one-year anniversary.
Perry previously dated Orlando Bloom, with whom he shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy. Meanwhile, Trudeau has three children with his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire.
