Hailey Bieber put a vintage twist on the slip dress trend with an archival Dior look. Following Justin Bieber’s FIFA World Cup finals performance, she wore a John Galliano-era minidress. The sighting occurred shortly after Hailey released a collaboration jeans line with Gap.
Lingerie dressing isn’t going anywhere, and Hailey Bieber is the latest to prove it.
Following Justin Bieber’s appearance at the halftime show of the FIFA World Cup final, the couple were photographed in Soho before attending the Skyllk afterparty.
For the event, Hailey wore a vintage Christian Dior mini dress by John Galliano, from the label’s Fall 2005 collection. Burgundy floral jacquard slip with lace trim at the neckline and hem. She styled her look with black lace kitten heels and slim black sunglasses.
This dress dates back to 2005, but the silhouette couldn’t be more timely. Sleepwear-inspired dressing, better known online as “nightcore,” has become one of the season’s defining trends, with lace-trimmed slip dress and nightgown-like silhouettes appearing both on the runway and on stylish dressers off the runway.
Justin layered a white polka-dot hoodie by Skyllk over a long green shirt, teaming it with wide-leg jeans and sneakers for his signature oversized look.
Their contrasting outfits have become something of a signature over the years, with Hailey often favoring sophisticated tailoring and vintage pieces, while Justin often opts for oversized streetwear.
The afterparty itself drew a star-studded guest list, including Camila Cabello, Kaia Gerber, Tate McRae, Winnie Harlow, Teyana Taylor, and Jalen Brunson.
The outing also comes at a busy time for Hailey. Last week, she announced her new Gap denim collaboration, a capsule inspired by her longtime love of relaxed ’90s jeans. Discussing the project with Vogue, she reflected on her hands-on role in bringing the collection to life.
“I got really into it,” she said. “From filming and video to storytelling and design, if it’s going to be a true collaboration, I’m not at a point in my life where I just want to lend my name to something.”
“I’m really, really picky and pay attention to what fits and feels on my body,” she added.
