The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Apple Martin will star in Nancy Meyers’ new comedy, along with her Oscar-winner’s former co-stars.
According to Deadline, 22-year-old Apple will star in the film opposite Tony Hale and Beverly D’Angelo.
Erin Doherty, Penelope Cruz, Jude Law, Owen Wilson and Kieran Culkin also star in the Warner Bros. film. ” Ensemble Project.
Paltrow has co-starred with Law in several films throughout her career, including 1999’s The Talented Mr. Ripley, 2004’s The Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and 2011’s Contagion.
The actress also co-starred with Wilson in the 2001 comedy-drama “The Royal Tenenbaums” and with Cruise in the 2007 romantic comedy “The Good Night.”
Apple celebrated the exciting opportunity on her Instagram Stories, writing, “A dream come true!!! Thank you @nmeyers for giving me this chance.”
The model previously appeared in a cameo on HBO’s “Rooster” in March.
Details of the film have been kept under wraps, but Meyers said in a 2023 Instagram post that the project was “about a group of people making movies and the magic and mystery of what we do.”
This new comedy comes 11 years after her previous film, The Intern.
In addition to landing her first role in a major film, Apple just celebrated graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in law, history, and society.
Despite earning a more academic degree, this young star has continued to dive into the world of art in recent years.
In October, Apple made her singing debut with the Jade Street Band at Cannery Hall in Nashville.
Her father, who also has a 20-year-old son, Moses, with ex Paltrow, proudly watched from the audience.
Apple also has songwriting credits on the Coldplay frontman’s songs “Let Somebody Go” and “feelslikeimfallinginlove.”
But recently, her path has become very clear.
As Apple told Vogue in February, “I don’t want to be a singer. I love musicals, but I’m scared to stand on stage and sing by myself.”
“I love dancing and I love acting,” she mused. “My dream is to act.”
The film is scheduled to premiere on December 25, 2027.
