Hey baby, hey baby, hey!
Gwen Stefani cheered on stage over the weekend as country singer Blake Shelton “finally” attended No Doubt’s Las Vegas residency.
“Blake Shelton is here!” the singer gushed to an audience at the Sphere venue in Sin City on Saturday in an Instagram video Shelton shared the next day.
After Stefani, 56, assured fans that the concert was “going to be good,” the clip cut to the country singer pointing to herself.
“It’s me!” he shouted to those around him.
Shelton, 49, sang along to the band’s 1995 hit “Just a Girl” in the second half of the video, and ended the video by posing in a new green No Doubt jacket.
He also hugged and shared a sweet moment with his fellow ‘Voice’ coach.
Shelton mentioned bassist Tony Canal, guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young in his caption, telling his followers, “I’m so proud of my wife @gwenstefani and the members of @nodoubt for working so hard and putting on this crazy show.”
“I finally got a night off and was able to watch it,” he continued. “Unrealistic”
Stefani, who began the group’s residency on May 6, reposted a tribute to her husband through her Instagram Stories.
Shelton blamed his manager when he missed the band’s debut show earlier this month.
“My wife is in town. She’s here. I mean, she’s not here. She’s over there at the venue,” he said during his concert at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
“What kind of ads give us books the exact same night every night?” he added. “I think the manager did it. He’s here, right?”
A few months ago, Shelton told People that their performance “will be in direct competition.”
“I know there’s probably some trash talk. There’s a big difference between selling out the Spheres and selling out the Caesars, whether we both sell out or not. So she’s going to put that off my mind,” he quipped in January, calling their “unfriendly rivalry” an “absolute ass-kicking.”
Shelton and Stefani married in July 2021.
