“Happy Gilmore 2” tops the nomination pack for the 28th Annual Family Film and Television Awards, which includes nominations for favorite actor, favorite feature film and favorite sports movie. “Big Brother” star Julie Chen Moonves will host Kudocast, which will air on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 8pm ET on CBS. The Eye network also announced the nominations, which include categories for family-friendly cooking from both current TV and film projects, as well as honors for classic favorites.

Additionally, “Survivor” host Jeff Probst will receive the show’s “Television Icon Award,” and magic and comedy stars Penn & Teller will receive the “Outstanding Family Entertainer Award.” Probst is celebrating 50 years of his “Survivor” season, and Penn & Teller are celebrating 50 years as entertainers.

Country music star Blake Shelton will also appear on the telecast.

“Movies and TV have a great way of bringing families together, whether they’re watching it with their children and grandchildren or rediscovering a long-loved story,” said executive producer Laura McKenzie, who also serves as co-chair of the Family Film and Television Awards. “The best storytelling connects generations and reminds us of what’s really important. We’re proud to celebrate programs that inspire, entertain and celebrate families in all their forms.”

This telecast will also serve as a benefit for the U.S. Marine Toys Program, which assists families in need across the United States. Special segments during the program will highlight the Marine Corps’ work in communities across the United States.

The Family Film and Television Awards are produced by Associated Television International. The telecast will soon be available to Paramount+ Premium subscribers through their local CBS affiliates.
