Another familiar face has joined Fox’s Baywatch reboot.
Erika Eleniak, who appeared on the show’s first two seasons before leaving the show at the beginning of season 3, will reprise her role as Shawni McClain in a guest appearance.
Shoni, a former Baywatch lifeguard who is now a Santa Monica City Council member, returns to the beach to help Hobie Buchannon (Stephen Amell) start the annual “Beach Game” between Baywatch’s reigning champions vs. the Coast Guard.
She joins returning cast member David Chokachi, who reprises his role as Cody Madison, as well as an ensemble that includes Amell, Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vail, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hussie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Brooks Nader as Selene, Noah Beck as Luke, Libby Dunn as Grace, and Nadia Gray as Lisa.
Decades after the original “Baywatch” became one of the biggest television properties of all time and catapulted David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson to global stardom, Fox and Fremantle have decided to revive the series with a series that continues the original story. Matt Nix is the showrunner and executive producer along with director McG and Michael Burke, Greg Bonnan, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto, and Mike Horowitz.
The reboot received California tax incentives for filming in Los Angeles, and Fox hosted an open casting call in February to attract new talent.
Baywatch is scheduled to premiere on FOX as part of the 2026-2027 season.
Eleniak is represented by Daniel Bilodeau of Characters Talent Agency.
