On Saturday, the royal family made their traditional appearance at the Trooping the Color ceremony, an annual public celebration of King Charles. The Prince and Princess of Wales attended with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. As they always do, the family made subtle adjustments to their ensembles.
And as usual, Duchess Kate’s look dominated the fashion. Wearing one of her favorite designers, Catherine Walker, she modeled a blazer dress with white detailing along the pockets, cuffs, and collar. To match her dress, Kate wore a matching Philip Treacy hat and white pumps. She accessorized with an Irish Guards brooch, Cassandra Gordo earrings, and a very special bracelet.
The triple strand of pearls, held in place by a diamond clasp, once belonged to the late Princess Diana, and is one of her favorite pieces. It was designed by Nigel Milne and passed down to William after her death. Eventually he gave it to his wife.
The two boys, Louis and George, wore navy suits and baby blue ties to match their mother’s look. Princess Charlotte was all white with blue details and accessorized with white ballet shoes and a white ribbon in her hair. And on her wrist was a bracelet very similar to her mother’s, marking a sweet matching moment between mother and daughter.
The family greeted the crowd gathered to celebrate the king’s birthday before arriving in a horse-drawn carriage and joining other families on the balcony.
