Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s son Knox removed “Pitt” from his last name on his high school diploma.
The teenager, who turns 18 on July 12, used the name “Knox Jolie” on her certificate after graduating from Fusion Academy in Los Angeles earlier this month, sources exclusively tell Page Six.
Knox celebrated the milestone with the 51-year-old “Maleficent” star. My older brother Pax (22). Older sister Zahara, 21 years old. and her twin sister Vivian.
Another source exclusively told Page Six that Angelina “seems very happy that her years of intense and deliberate efforts to separate her children from their father were completely successful.”
“It’s very sad for the entire family that she would use the same weapon of changing her name over and over again for no purpose other than to hurt her father,” the source continued. “This was her goal and she succeeded.”
A third source exclusively told Page Six that “Angelina participated in years of family therapy with Brad and the kids as they all tried to heal after the events that led to her filing for divorce.”
“If he stays away from the kids, it’s because the damage has been done,” the source added. “He wasn’t honest about his actions and it affected the trust between them. It’s very hard on the kids. No one knows how bad it is except for them.”
The source continued: “The kids are adults now and they’re making their own decisions, and that should be respected. If they choose to distance themselves from him, it’s because of that pain and harm. It’s truly horrifying that he tried to paint himself as a victim. When will people start asking real questions about what happened to the kids?”
Meanwhile, Knox didn’t censor his excitement during his graduation speech, where he dropped an F-bomb while addressing classmates and their families hours before the Muay Thai showdown.
“Tonight I’ll be fighting at 12:45 a.m. at Total Sonic Knockout 5, so catch me,” he told the crowd in a clip from the ceremony.
“We’re going to beat the crap out of them. Let’s go!” he added, drawing cheers from the audience.
Knox’s move is the latest chapter in a years-long rift since Brad and Angelina’s highly publicized breakup.
The “Fight Club” actor, 62, finalized his long-term divorce from Angelina in December 2024, ending a legal process that lasted more than eight years.
Angelina filed for dissolution of their marriage in September 2016.
Knox’s gesture follows the same path followed by some of his brothers. On June 9, Zahara filed paperwork to change her name to Zahara Jolie instead of Zahara Jolie-Pitt.
In 2024, Knox’s sister Shiloh successfully petitioned a Los Angeles court to legally remove “Pitt” from her last name after she turns 18.
Last month, Knox’s older brother Maddox also filed legal papers asking for “Pitt” to be removed from his last name, citing personal reasons in court documents.
Even before the application, he had begun using “Maddox Jolie” professionally, including as an assistant director on the film “Couture,” starring Angelina.
