“Dancing with the Stars” has officially been renewed for season 35 this fall, with two reality stars leading the competition.
The first two celebrity contestants on the series will be “Summer House” star Ciara Miller and “The Traitors” personality Maura Higgins, according to an announcement at Wednesday’s Get Real event, according to Variety.
The show will be hosted by Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro, and will feature judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli.
The full cast list, as well as Miller and Higgins’ professional dance partners, have yet to be announced.
Last season, Robert Irwin and his pro partner Witney Carson defeated Alix Earle and pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy to win the famous Mirrorball Trophy.
Miller made headlines last month after ex-boyfriend West Wilson and ex-BFF Amanda Batula (both co-stars on Summer House) confirmed their secret romance on social media.
The Bravo star, who came under fire after being spotted collapsing outside an Hermès boutique in New York City shortly after their joint statement was withdrawn, also appeared on “Traitors” during Season 3.
The dance competition opens up a new realm of reality TV for Miller, who recently said he is “grateful” for the genre that has made him famous.
“I want to be clear: I’ve always been grateful for reality TV,” she told Glamor magazine in an interview published last week.
“I feel like I met my best friends on reality TV. And reality TV has taught me so much about myself, who I am, and what I can endure. It’s changed me in a good way. It’s given me the confidence to be where I am today, and it’s given me some of the best moments of my life. If it wasn’t for reality TV, I wouldn’t have been able to buy my grandparents’ house, so I’m really grateful.”
Meanwhile, Higgins came in second place on Season 4 of the hit Peacock show, losing out to series mate Rob Roush.
She is also known for appearing on “Love Island: Season 5” and hosting “Love Island USA: Aftersun” and “Love Island Games: Aftersun.”
The Irish model brings confidence to DWTS, once saying of The Traitors: “I’m a million percent sure I’m winning the show.”
“I looked into the camera and said, ‘Give me the money. I won,'” she said in an interview with Elite Daily in February, adding that despite her loss to Roush, “I’m not bitter about losing.”
