Catherine O’Hara will posthumously appear in Martin Short’s upcoming Netflix documentary, Marty, Life Is Short.

The late “Schitt’s Creek” star, who first met Short in the early ’70s when he was active in Toronto’s improv scene, made a brief cameo appearance in the documentary’s trailer released Friday.

“He feels like he could improvise forever. Could he?” O’Hara said in a teaser interview before his death earlier this year.

A second clip included in the trailer shows Short playfully filming O’Hara and telling her, “I loved you on Home Alone!” you were amazing! She laughed at his compliment.

The film, directed by Short’s longtime friend Lawrence Kasdan, uses “beautiful, intimate, and never-before-seen” archival footage to chronicle the comedian’s life, career, and relationship with grief.

“Marty, Life Is Short” will premiere on streaming platforms on May 12th.

O’Hara passed away on January 30 at her home in Los Angeles after a short illness, her agency confirmed in a statement to Page Six. She was 71 years old.

Page Six has exclusively learned that the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call to the “Beetlejuice” star’s Brentwood home at around 4:48 a.m. after she experienced “difficulty breathing.”

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health announced her official cause of death as pulmonary embolism, a blood clot in the lungs. However, rectal cancer has been pointed out as the underlying cause.

According to the death certificate, O’Hara was cremated and her husband Beau Welch took possession of her body.

The actress was buried on Saturday, February 14th, in an intimate funeral at St. Martin of Tours Church in Los Angeles.

Actress Kelly Lynch shared a snapshot of the late O’Hara’s funeral booklet with her Instagram followers, honoring his life with a touching eulogy.

Lynch captioned the post: “Rest in peace my dearest Katherine.” “And still, did you get what you wanted in this life? I got. And what did you want? To call yourself loved, to feel loved on earth.”
