Britney Spears’ son Jayden James is refuting a bizarre conspiracy theory that the pop star was cloned.
“I hopped on TikTok and saw this video that had 1.2 million likes and the caption was like, ‘Biggest theory of all time: Is Britney Spears still alive?'” Jaden, 19, said during a livestream on Friday. “Brother, you can meet her right now by going to her page.”
“We have found that much of what is in the media is exaggerated and false,” he continued. “People know how gullible humans are and use that to their advantage. Anyone who sees it in the media just sees it and if it gets a lot of likes, they (believe) it. They didn’t look into it, they just said, ‘Wow, yeah, that’s crazy. I just say, ‘I believe that.’ ”
Jaden and his brother Sean Preston, 20, whom Spears shares with ex Kevin Federline, have had a rocky relationship with their mother for years.
For years, they hadn’t seen each other with Spears, but it appears their relationship has improved.
They reportedly intervened before the “Toxic” singer voluntarily checked into rehab for substance abuse earlier this year.
Sources claim Spears, 44, was “limping around” after checking in after her March 4 DUI arrest until her sons were involved.
“They were the only ones she listened to and they were very loving and very kind, but also very firm,” the source said.
Earlier this month, Jaden and his brother made their fashion show debut at Paris Fashion Week.
Cloning theory has been around for at least a few years.
“The Hills” alum Kristin Cavallari floated the conspiracy theory on her 2024 podcast.
“That’s not Britney Spears[on social media]. Sorry, that’s not Britney Spears. Look at the photo! That’s not Britney Spears,” she declared on the Let’s Be Honest podcast.
Cavallari also claimed that Kanye West had been cloned and blamed the scientific experiment on “the Illuminati[and]cabal.”
