Bollywood stars Arhaan Pandey and Aneet Padda visited Wembley Stadium in London to celebrate the first anniversary of the release of ‘Saiyaara’ and launched the collector’s edition vinyl LP of the Yash Raj film blockbuster. This package is a package created to offer fans and music lovers a definitive way to revisit the film’s complete sonic journey.
Directed by Mohit Suri and produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widani, ‘Saiyaara’ has grossed over 580 million rupees ($69 million) worldwide and is recognized as the highest-grossing love story in Indian film history.
The choice of Wembley as the launch venue has direct resonance with the film itself. In one of the key scenes of ‘Sayaara’, Pandey’s character Krish Kapoor spots pada Vaani Batra on a giant screen in a stadium and recognizes her just by her eyes. The film’s finale concert sequence also unfolds at the same venue.
The release is a two-disc set. LP-1 compiles all nine tracks of the soundtrack, while LP-2 expands the listening experience with 25 recordings (16 original background score compositions and nine of the film’s most prominent dialogue sequences). The collector’s package concludes with a ‘Saiyaara’ diary containing notes from director Suri, producer Widani, stars Pandey and Pada, and music contributors including Tanishq Bagki, Faheem Abdullah, Arslan Nizami, Irshad Kamil, The Rish, Vishal Mishra, Raj Shekhar, Sashe Paranpara, Mithun, and John Stewart Eduri. Also included is an ink pen reminiscent of Vaani’s notebook from the movie, and two character bookmarks depicting Krish and Vaani.
