Britney Spears is going for a fresh look.
Hitmaker Kim Kardashian, who recently made a series of headlines for her DUI arrest and subsequent stint in rehab, turned to Kim Kardashian’s go-to hairstylist, Chris Appleton, for a new look. Her blonde hair is straight and smooth, a departure from her usual voluminous style.
Appleton posted a photo to Instagram on Monday of herself and Spears showing off their sleek new hair, with Spears playfully sticking her tongue out at the camera while brandishing several curling irons.
“Britney Spears was the soundtrack to many moments of my childhood growing up in England,” Appleton captioned the post. “Never in a million years did I think I would see the day where I would be standing behind a chair (or in this case she would be standing behind me, haha) styling my hair.”
“Some moments really come full circle,” he added. “She’s not just an icon, she’s one of the most genuinely kind and gentle souls I’ve ever met.”
Appleton, who admitted she can charge up to $200,000 for her services, is known for giving Kardashian’s platinum blonde hair a Marilyn Monroe look for the 2022 Met Gala.
Kardashian herself gave Spears’ hair a thumbs up, commenting on the post with two heart and arrow emojis.
Spears’ new look made the news on the heels of her numerous troubled stints. In March, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Ventura County, California.
Shocking dashcam footage showed the Grammy winner failing a field sobriety test, claiming he had only had one mimosa earlier that day.
Police reports say Spears took several prescription drugs that day, including Adderall, Lamictal and Prozac.
In April, the “Oops! I Did It Again” songstress checked into a rehab facility. After just over two weeks of treatment, Spears left the facility, and a source exclusively told Page Six that she is “doing great.”
Last month, Spears pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of “reckless” and avoided prison time in exchange for probation, fines and a three-month alcohol education program.
Just recently, the “Gimme More” singer posted a cryptic comment about “Mean Girls,” which has now been deleted, shortly after she went public online about “emotional issues” she was battling.
