“There’s no one like Andy Cohen in the entertainment industry,” says Kate Orser, editor-in-chief of Variety magazine. “Cohen, or simply ‘Andy’ as his fans call him, is the executive producer of Bravo’s culture-defining ‘Real Housewives’ series and, in addition to hosting a talk show four times a week on Radio Andy, hosts his talk show ‘Watch What Happens Live’ nightly on the network. I can’t wait to get him excited! Maybe we’ll do ‘Plead the Fifth’.”
“Andy Cohen has had an undeniable impact on the world of television, shaping the way viewers engage with pop culture and redefining the talk show format for a new generation,” said Greg Schwenk, CEO and Executive Director of Newport Beach TV Fest. “His creativity, authenticity and impact across the industry make him a true trailblazer, and we are thrilled to partner with Variety to recognize him with the Creative Impact in Television Awards.”
The Newport Beach TV Fest, presented by the Newport Beach Film Festival, is a premier four-day celebration of the artistry of television, running June 4-7. Held at the historic Lido Theater in Newport Beach, the event will showcase a dynamic lineup of events celebrating established and emerging television talent.
Expected to be the largest gathering of Guild and Television Academy voters outside of Los Angeles and New York, the event provides a unique platform for innovative storytelling and solidifies Newport Beach as a home for creative excellence in the evolving television landscape.
