Boy George recently appeared in the new Apple TV+ series Kpopped to perform the Culture Club’s signature song “Karma Chameleon” in a new interview with the New York Post.

The boy George doesn’t play “Karma Chameleon.”

British pop star 64 recently appeared in the new Apple TV+ series Kpopped to perform K-Pop Group Stayc and Culture Club’s signature song “Karma Chameleon.” In a new interview with the New York Post, he was very open about why he’s not a fan of singing chart-topping hits.

“People think it’s all I’ve done,” boy George told the outlet. But that doesn’t mean he wanted to sing it first. “When they first chose that song, I have to say, ‘That’s definitely not.’ ”

“I wasn’t exactly excited about doing the ‘Karma Chameleon’. It was just “Ah f —off, it’s again.” I’m honest. “I was like, ‘f-k?’ And in fact, the first phone we had with Apple was, I was like, ‘I’m not doing this.’

The boy George said, “For me, I can imagine singing “Karma Chameleon.” It’s like f————————————————————————————————————————– It’s so exciting that I can’t explain. ”

Ultimately, the Grammy Award winner came to this idea. “I remembered, ‘What do you know? It’s very fantastical to go to Korea,” he recalled. “It really doesn’t matter what I’m doing.”

He does not regret having the opportunity. “It was actually the last adventure to go there. I loved it,” said Boy George, who filmed in Seoul. “I was very happy to do it.”

“Karma Chameleon” is featured on Culture Club’s 1983 album Color by Numbers. The bright track was charted at number one in over 12 countries, including the US and the UK

A year after the song appeared, Culture Club won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards.

Kpopped premiered on August 29th. Executive producers Lionel Richie and Megan The Stallion recently spoke to people about their experiences in creating the show.

“I like surprises. I like things that move people. And we were sitting in my living room with Mikie Lee, and Mikie Lee said, “We need to bring this K-Pop thing to the world,” Richie, 76, told people.

He continued, “When Megan said yes, we went out to the race and we couldn’t hear me screaming about it.

Megan, 30, recalled saying “Yes” to the offer. “I wanted to go over there and learn,” she said. “It was a great opportunity to work because I wanted to go there and fan out, but sometimes it’s fun. I love making my work feel. It didn’t feel like work. It felt like a holiday.”
