Former Superman Dean Cain has been slammed as “disgusting” after making “cruel” comments about Supergirl newcomer Milly Alcock’s appearance.
The Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman alum, 56, appeared on X Sunday and reshared a photo of Alcock, 26, dressed as Supergirl but with several ear piercings.
“Wait a minute…if Supergirl’s skin is bulletproof, how does she have her ears pierced?” one user wrote, to which Cain responded with a thoughtful face emoji.
The user then posted a photo of Chaka from the 1970s series “Land of the Lost” and wrote, “And why does she look like this guy?”
“I laughed…” Kane commented candidly.
One critic wrote of the actor: “You are shallow and cruel.”
“You were ‘Superman’ after all, weren’t you?” “You’re old enough and have a big voice to be her father. Don’t give power to her bullies.”
“Shame, I looked up to you,” a fourth person wrote.
“That’s so unprofessional and disgusting to say that,” agreed another.
Reps. Alcock and Cain could not be reached for comment to Page Six.
Kane played Clark Kent in the 1990s series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, alongside Teri Hatcher, who played Lois Lane.
He worked on the series for four seasons from 1993 to 1997.
Meanwhile, Alcock will play Supergirl, aka Kara Zor-El, in a new superhero movie scheduled for release on June 26th.
She worked with David Corenswet, the current Superman of the DC Universe.
Other notable roles for the Australian actress include playing young Rhaenyra Targaryen in the HBO series House of the Dragon and Meg Adams in Upright.
