Former Superman Dean Cain has been slammed as “disgusting” after making “cruel” comments about Supergirl newcomer Milly Alcock’s appearance.

The Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman alum, 56, appeared on X Sunday and reshared a photo of Alcock, 26, dressed as Supergirl but with several ear piercings.

“Wait a minute…if Supergirl’s skin is bulletproof, how does she have her ears pierced?” one user wrote, to which Cain responded with a thoughtful face emoji.

The user then posted a photo of Chaka from the 1970s series “Land of the Lost” and wrote, “And why does she look like this guy?”

“I laughed…” Kane commented candidly.

One critic wrote of the actor: “You are shallow and cruel.”

“You were ‘Superman’ after all, weren’t you?” “You’re old enough and have a big voice to be her father. Don’t give power to her bullies.”

“Shame, I looked up to you,” a fourth person wrote.

“That’s so unprofessional and disgusting to say that,” agreed another.

However, his remarks were not well received as one critic described the comments as “unprofessional and offensive”. (See here: Cain in 2023). Patrick McMullan, via Getty Images
