The much-talked-about guest list for Taylor Swift’s upcoming wedding apparently includes one controversial friend.
Supermodel Karlie Kloss’ invitation was said to be up in the air, according to a May 30 Daily Mail report, but TMZ reported Tuesday that a source said Kloss would indeed be invited.
The “Bad Blood” singer, 36, is reportedly set to marry Travis Kelce, also 36, on or about July 3.
Representatives for Swift and Kloss did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
As reported by the Daily Mail, a source said that Swift has “some friendships that have been strained for various reasons” and that the superstar “wants to surround herself with people who genuinely share the love and meaning of the day, especially those who have played an important role in her life over the years.”
Kloss, 33, and Swift first became friends in 2013, appearing together in music videos, attending concerts together and hanging out at home.
However, things turned sour when Kloss married Joshua Kushner in 2018. Swift did not attend, citing “work commitments.” Notably, Cross’ then-manager Scooter Braun was a guest.
Brown acquired Swift’s early album catalog in June 2019, but the pop star said the business deal “made her feel bad” and led her to re-record several of her albums.
The source told the Daily Mail that Swift “has come to believe that Karlie’s intentions are not as genuine as she once thought, and their friendship has become more about access to Taylor’s fame than a real bond.”
However, TMZ’s sources say the two have resolved any differences and Kloss will be on the guest list.
Speculation surrounding Kelce and Swift’s marriage list is intense.
Zoe Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Suki Waterhouse, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez are among the stars who have earned invitations to upcoming weddings.
Meanwhile, Page Six recently confirmed that Miles Teller and his wife, Kelly Sperry, were removed from the guest list after an apparent falling out with some of their once-close friends.
