Ray J was brutally knocked out during a celebrity MMA bout on Saturday while claiming he only had months to live.
The 45-year-old singer took on YouTuber Supa Hot Fire at livestreamer Adin Roth’s UFC Apex event in Las Vegas. The fight ended quickly in the second round as the 35-year-old Supa Hot Fire delivered a knockout blow to the “One Wish” singer.
After the punch, Ray J was visibly stunned and fell to the ground leaning against the ropes. Although he was able to stand up, he was forced to sit down again and the referee ended the match.
When Ray J and Supa Hot Fire were interviewed after the match, Ray J suggested that the match was supposed to be match-fixed, but Supa Hot Fire did not go along with that plan.
“Damn, brother…is that so? Really…that’s a fucking junkie,” Ray J said to his opponent in disbelief. “I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to embarrass anyone, but damn… I got an L tonight.”
Ray J continued passionately, “Do you know how much money we lost? Wow…Wow.”
In January, the “Sexy Can I” singer surprised fans by claiming she didn’t have much time left to live.
“2027 is definitely the end for me,” he said in a video clip shared to social media. “That’s what they say.”
“I shouldn’t have tried so hard, bro,” he continued, adding, “My baby mama (his estranged wife Princess Love) is going to be straight, and my kids are going to be straight. If they want to spend money, they can spend it. I’ve done my part here.”
“And damn, when it’s all over, burn me, stop burying me,” he instructed.
Later that month, Ray J told TMZ that his doctor advised him to rest and take medications such as Jardiance and Entrest, which are drugs for people at high risk for heart failure, and Lipitor, which treats cholesterol.
He also said he was considering traveling to Haiti for treatment.
Singer Brandy’s younger brother is no stranger to alarming claims.
Last month, the father-of-two appeared on Cam Newton’s Funky Friday podcast and claimed he had slept with more than 12,500 women, sometimes with five to 10 women a day while on tour.
But he pointed out that now that he’s older, he has his limits.
“I can only imagine thousands more beaches,” he added. “There’s nothing more I can do.”
