Ashley St. Clair has revealed that her relationship with Elon Musk took a turn for the worse after she learned the Tesla CEO was pregnant with Musk’s son.
“Get ready with me as I talk about when things started going south with Elon,” the former conservative influencer said in a TikTok video shared last week.
St. Clair said she and Musk began talking about having a child during a vacation to St. Barts, and that the two were “emotionally close” before the pregnancy.
However, things changed between them when she became pregnant with their child. “As soon as you get pregnant, things start going crazy,” she told her followers.
“There are some things that don’t match up or are different from what he told me before.”
St. Clair said no one would “believe her story,” but insisted Musk was “a lot more normal” before she became pregnant.
“It was just a normal conversation,” she continued. “His behavior was normal. I know he’s going to get criticized for this, but in private he was a funny guy, but then he became really funny.”
Elsewhere in the upload, she also revealed that she was “already a single mom” having given birth to a son with a previous partner when she met the billionaire.
“I believed that the possibility of me getting married, the white picket fence, the white dress, was out the window for me because I was already ‘tainted’ as a single mother,” said St. Clair, 27.
“But I just wanted to be a mom. I wanted more kids.”
Ms St Clair described the experience of raising her children alone and “questioning whether or not I will be able to pay for my children” as “difficult”.
“So when Elon was saying, ‘I might as well have kids, my only limited resource is time,’ of course it’s tempting to do what I’ve always wanted to do…be a mom and not have to worry about what’s going on in this economy.”
“I don’t think that’s a strange position,” she added. “It’s more like, ‘My children will always be taken care of.'”
A representative for Musk did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In February 2025, St. Clair revealed that she secretly welcomed a child five months ago, later revealing that his name was Romulus.
Musk gave birth to a son, Nevada Alexander, with ex-wife Justin Wilson in 2002, but the infant died at just 10 weeks old. They also have twins Griffin and Vivian, and triplets Saxon, Kai and Damien.
In May 2020, singer Grimes gave birth to son X AE A-XII, and in March 2022, the songstress (real name Claire Boucher) revealed to Vanity Fair that she and Musk welcomed a daughter, Exa Dark Siderel Musk, as a surrogate in December 2021.
It was reported that they welcomed their third child, Techno Mechanicus, in September 2023, and it is said that he will be born around June 2022.
Meanwhile, the Space-X founder also welcomed twins Strider and Azure in November 2021 with Shivon Zilis, Neuralink’s director of operations and special projects, and a third child was born in early 2024.
St. Clair and Musk don’t seem to have a good relationship at first glance. In January 2026, the tech mogul threatened to sue for custody of his son, but the social media star had already filed suit for sole custody of Romulus in February 2025.
The threat came after Ms St Clair apologized via social media for her past “blatant transphobia”.
“I feel immense guilt for my role, and even more guilt that what I said in the past may have caused further pain to my son’s sister,” he tweeted, referring in part to Vivian Wilson, the transgender daughter of Tesla’s founder.
She added, “I don’t really know how to make up for many of these things, but I have personally worked incredibly hard to learn and advocate for those within the trans community that I have hurt.”
Musk responded via X at the time, saying, “In light of your comments hinting at the possibility of transitioning our 1-year-old boy, I intend to file for full custody today.”
St. Clair later told CNN anchor Erin Burnett, “I’m not at liberty to discuss this further, but I think anyone with a reading level above a third grade level knows what I said there.”
