James Rafferty and Stephen Colletti’s coming-of-age comedy Everyone Is Doing Great is here to stay. Netflix acquired exclusive worldwide rights to the first two seasons through a licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Television.
This marks the world premiere of Season 2, which debuts on Netflix on May 11th.
“What James and Stephen have created with ‘Everyone is Doing Great’ epitomizes the best of great indie television: raw, authentic, hilarious and full of heart,” said Paul Littman, vice president of global distribution at Sony Pictures Television. “Netflix is the ideal platform to bring this incredibly special show to a global audience.”
Netflix has a long-standing partnership with Sony. Earlier this year, the pair signed a new multi-year global pay-one deal that gives the streaming service exclusive worldwide rights to SPE’s films following full theatrical and home entertainment release.
The comedy, which won top prizes at Series Fest and Mammoth Film Festival, “follows former co-stars, friends and lovers Seth (Coletti), Jeremy (Rafferty), Andrea (Alexandra Park) and Izzy (Kariba Heine) as they reunite to tackle the absurd and uncertain.”
Season 2 will feature guest appearances from Jamie Chung, Phoenix Washington, Brian Greenberg, Jessica McNamee, Robbie Jones, Merritt Patterson, Aaron Staton, Nichelle Hines, and Rhys Wakefield. Executive producers include Rafferty, Colletti, Park, Ian Nelms, Eshom Nelms, Michelle Lang, Johnny Derango, Ngoc Nguyen, Stuart Rafferty, Loch Trem and Garrett Greer.
