Disgraced reality stars Joseph and Kendra Duggar are looking to sell off their possessions to pay their mounting bills.
Last month, while Joseph was incarcerated at the Washington County Correctional Facility in Arkansas, the couple had a 20-minute phone call to resolve their financial woes.
In a call obtained by Page Six, Kendra told Joseph that she didn’t know the exact cost he would have to pay for a recent construction project, but told a person named Gail that he “needed to pay it.”
Joseph, 31, asked if she owed $3,200, but Kendra, 27, said the amount was $6,200, according to Joseph’s brother Jed Duggar.
The former “Counting On” star told Kendra that she owes a construction company $3,200 and a structural engineer $600 for work on her damaged home.
At the beginning of the conversation, the couple, who have four children, discussed selling their property to make money amid their legal troubles.
Joseph suggested to Kendra that Jed might help her sell the truck that hasn’t sold yet. Kendra told her husband that her brother had the truck “already on the property.”
Kendra also shared that Jed is considering selling more of Joseph’s property, including the trailer.
“So if you want to talk about selling other things, we need to talk about next time,” Kendra said.
Joseph agreed that since he had “multiple trailers,” he could keep the one Kendra was talking about and get rid of the rest.
Kendra told Joseph that she kept the tools for the trailer in the garage area of her office and that she could sell the trailer for “a little cash.”
Joseph had been held in an Arkansas prison for more than a week after his arrest on March 18 on charges of sexually abusing a 9-year-old girl in 2020.
The reality star was charged with lewd and lascivious acts involving a victim under the age of 12 and lewd and lascivious acts committed by a person over the age of 18.
Joseph was extradited to Florida last week, where he pleaded not guilty. He was released on $600,000 bail and ordered to have no unsupervised contact with minors.
Page Six exclusively revealed that Joseph called Kendra daily while being held at the Washington County Correctional Facility.
In one phone call obtained by Page Six, Kendra said her anxiety was “on a whole other level” after her husband’s arrest.
“I didn’t know what to do, what to say, what to say…I just felt like I was going downhill,” she said.
Kendra also told Joseph that her anxiety makes it difficult for her to eat.
Both Joseph and Kendra face additional charges in Arkansas for second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.
They were arraigned on March 20, and Kendra was released on bond after turning herself in.
The couple is scheduled to appear in court again on April 29, while the next court date in Joseph’s child sexual abuse case is scheduled for April 20 in Florida.
