Disgraced reality star Taylor Frankie Paul bizarrely claimed she was so scared that she peed her pants twice the night of her domestic violence altercation with Dakota Mortensen in 2023, body camera footage obtained by The Post has revealed.
Paul’s claims were investigated by officers in attendance, with one officer calling Paul’s then-partner Mortensen to question him about what led up to the now infamous domestic incident at his Utah home after he left the scene on February 17 of that year.
During the call, the officer repeatedly mentioned that Paul had allegedly “urinated” on the way home in the tense car before the fight, a detail that she had apparently told the officer after the fight and after the breakup.
“Do you remember when she was urinating in her pants all night?” the officer asked Mortensen on the body camera footage.
“She said she peed herself on the way home. She said you guys were arguing in the car and she was afraid to get out,” the officer continued.
“That never happened,” Mortensen told the officer.
“So she didn’t pee in her pants when you picked her up?” the officer continued.
“No,” Mortensen replied.
The officer further investigated the timeline of that night and asked: “And then you came home and you guys were arguing…Did she pee on herself then?”
“No,” Mortensen said again.
Trying to explain further, the officer pressed: “Do you know that she urinated on herself at any point during the night?”
“No, never,” Mortensen replied.
The interaction became more poignant when the officer relayed Paul’s testimony directly. “In her own words, she says your behavior caused her to urinate on herself as a result.”
Mortensen flatly rejected the claim, saying, “No, that’s not true,” adding that if she was wet, it was probably because she threw a water bottle during the argument.
The officer seemed skeptical of Paul’s interpretation, adding, “When I first got to the house, I didn’t see her urinating on herself. I think I would have noticed that.”
After the couple got into an argument, a neighbor reported hearing screaming from across the street and sent officers to investigate.
Last month, a disturbing video of the match, taken from Mortenson’s cellphone, surfaced, showing a tense scene with both sides accusing each other of aggressive behavior.
The video shows Paul trying to kick his then-partner Mortensen and throwing a metal bar stool at him. Her young daughter Indy was in the room and was allegedly hit by one of the metal chairs.
“Mormon Wives” star Paul was arrested in the 2023 attack and charged with three felonies: one count of aggravated assault and two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, as well as one misdemeanor count each of child abuse and criminal mischief.
She took a plea deal on the aggravated assault charge, which was reduced to a misdemeanor if she served the three-year probation period, and the other charges were dismissed.
Paul and Mortenson have both accused each other, and local police have confirmed that both men remain under investigation.
After the video of the fight surfaced, Pauls’ representatives said in a statement that the 2023 video “conveniently omits context” and is Mortensen’s “endless, desperate, high-profile, destructive campaign to harm Taylor with no regard for the impact on the child.”
Paul then temporarily handed over custody of his 2-year-old son Ever to the boy’s father, Mortenson.
It is unclear whether her custody status for her two other children with ex-husband Tate Paul (daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5) has changed. According to Us Weekly, they split their time equally with their children, according to their custody agreement.
ABC canceled Paul’s season of The Bachelorette after footage of the assault was released.
Meanwhile, filming for Season 5 of Mormon Wives has reportedly already been halted after other cast members expressed concerns about Paul.
Utah State Police have since revealed that they are investigating up to three domestic violence incidents between Paul and his ex-girlfriend.
“The West Jordan Police Department is currently investigating an incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen,” a department spokesperson recently told Page Six.
“This allegation was reported in late February 2026, and detectives examined a video believed to have been recorded in early to mid-2024,” the statement continued.
“Investigators are actively working to gather and verify information and are interviewing those involved. As the investigation is ongoing, no charges have been filed at this time.”
Mortensen has also filed for a restraining order against Paul, accusing him of strangling Paul in front of Ever.
