Jesse Metcalf candidly said he has nothing but love for the Desperate Housewives cast after recently revealing that he was fired from his role as the popular gardener.

“I still talk to Eva[Longoria]sometimes,” the actor, who played John Roland, a teenager who had an affair with Longoria’s character, Gabriel Solis, told Page Six on March 20’s Clarence Night of Extra.

Also, “I really love Marcia Cross,” he gushed. “(I) saw her in a Broadway production in New York City a few years ago.”

Metcalfe, 47, said she was “really touched” that Cross, who played Bree Van de Kamp on the early 2000s drama, “showed up” to support her.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of hers, especially as an actor,” he added. “I think she’s incredibly talented.”

As for Felicity Huffman, who played Lynette Scavo, the “John Tucker Must Die” star said she’s “a tremendous talent and I’m excited to see her work so much again.”

Huffman gradually began appearing as a guest on the show after serving nearly two weeks in jail and paying a hefty $30,000 fine for her role in the 2019 college admissions scandal.

The scandal led to the actress paying $15,000 to improve her daughter Sophia’s SAT scores and get her into college.

“Honestly, I loved everyone on the show,” Metcalf continued.

“Our creator, Marc Cherry, said, ‘This is not ‘Desperate House Gardeners,’ this is ‘Desperate Housewives.’ So, unfortunately, I’m not going to be a series regular on this show going forward,” Metcalfe, who was seen here in 2004, said on last week’s podcast “Not Thin, But Not Fat.” ©ABC/Courtesy of Everett Collection

The Ninth Passenger star revealed he was let go from the ABC Studios series, which ran from 2004 to 2012, after the first season because the writers “really didn’t know where else to take[his]story.”

“Our creator, Marc Cherry, said, ‘This is Desperate Housewives, not Desperate Housewives,’ so unfortunately I won’t be a series regular on this show going forward,” he said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast last week.

Metcalf told Page Six on Friday that he had booked John Tucker Must Die at the time of his firing, explaining that it was “not really a blow” because production on the film hadn’t started, but that it still “gave[him]the motivation to advance his career.”

The “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” star talked about his upcoming projects, including the James Cullen Bressack-directed film “Boris is Dead” and the K. Asher Levin-directed horror film “The Possession at Gladstone Manor.”

But Metcalf took her talents outside of the entertainment industry, launching her skincare brand Nutrl Skin last April.

The businessman revealed that the brand currently consists of four products: a facial cleanser, moisturizer and serum containing “anti-aging and collagen-enhancing” ingredients.
