Jonathan Bailey of Heated Rivalry, Lady Gaga and Cynthia Erivo were among the honorees at the 14th Annual LGBTQ Queerties Awards held in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
“Heated Rivalry” was selected as the best TV drama. Bailey received the Badass Award, the ceremony’s highest honor. Gaga’s “Abracadabra” was named best anthem, and Erivo won two awards: best film for “Wicked: For Good” and best lead for her memoir “Simply More.”
Special honors were awarded to Margaret Cho (Icon Award), Megan Stalter (Vanguard Award) and Mae Martin (Groundbreaker Award). The awards ceremony will be hosted by Trixie Mattel and streamed exclusively on the streaming service WOW Presents Plus starting March 19th.
“Queerty represents the true voice of our community,” said Scott Gatz, CEO of Queerty’s parent company, Q.Digital. “These honorees were chosen by millions of LGBTQ+ people and allies who see themselves reflected in these stories, performances and cultural moments. This is our community and a celebration of who we are.”
