Variety exclusively reports that Clarence Maclin has joined the cast of Netflix’s new series Rabbit Rabbit.
Maclin joins previously announced series star Adam Driver and cast members Regina Hall, Odessa Young and Will Poulter.
The series’ logline reads, “When an escaped inmate (the driver) is cornered by law enforcement at a truck stop, he takes hostages to negotiate for his freedom. But the conflict quickly escalates into an unruly social experiment with his captors and an emotional poker match with a veteran FBI crisis negotiator (Hall) trained in ‘tactical empathy.'”
Maclin is set to make a recurring guest appearance, but the exact details of her character are being kept secret.
Macklin is best known for starring in and co-writing the critically acclaimed feature drama Sing Sing, which was inspired by his real life and incarceration. The film premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and was acquired by A24 after a bidding war. Maclin was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the film. He was also nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor and won the Gotham Award for Outstanding Supporting Performance among numerous nominations and accolades. Next, he will star in the independent feature film In Starland, written and directed by Ray Panthaki.
Mr. Maclin is represented by Mr. Gersh and MGMT.
