Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus announced the death of her infant daughter Kodi, 10 months after she was born prematurely in February 2025.
“On Monday I lost the love of my life. My Cody,” she wrote above a slide on her Instagram Story on Saturday. In the black-and-white photo, Broadus was cradling a baby at the hospital. She added an angel wings emoji to the announcement.
Cori’s fiancé, Wayne Duce, also expressed his sadness for his daughter on his Instagram Story over the weekend.
“I’m the saddest since you broke up with Kody Draw,” he wrote above a snapshot of himself cradling a baby. “But I know you’re safe. Daddy will always love you. My baby,” he concluded.
Broadus, 26, said on Jan. 6 that she was finally allowed to bring her baby home after 10 months in the NICU.
“She’s home. 🤍,” Broadus captioned an Instagram carousel of herself cuddling her baby in bed. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all. 🕊️✨”
She shared the post to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, adding at the top of the post, “20 days later? Oh my god, I’m sick.”
Cori, a fellow rapper with Chanté Broadus, announced the birth of her daughter in an emotional social media post last year.
“Princess was born at 6 months old 🥹👶🏽🎀,” the CHOC businessman captioned a Feb. 28 Instagram post with a photo of her little feet.
“I’ve cried and cried and compared and blamed myself for not being able to give her everything she needed. But no matter what God always showed me, He got me!”
She added, “Today our baby girl arrived at 25 weeks. She is the best!! Thank you God for bringing us this far.”
Through her Instagram Stories, she shared that her baby was born via C-section and that it was a “success.”
She also wrote on her Instagram Story that she has “Help Syndrome,” which is a very serious and potentially fatal condition that can be fatal if left untreated, referring to pregnancy complications that can affect the blood system and liver.
She told Mr. E earlier! News that her pregnancy was made “high risk” due to a diagnosis of lupus (an autoimmune disease).
Cori’s followers on Instagram flocked to the comment thread of her post about her daughter to offer words of comfort following the sad announcement.
One person wrote: “Condolences to the family 😢,” while another added: “She was so adorable.” Another follower wrote: “My heart was instantly broken.”
