Teyana Taylor jetted off to Paris Fashion Week shortly after making her SNL hosting debut, appearing in the front row of the Schiaparelli haute couture show at the Petit Palais on Monday.
And while other celebrities in attendance (including Demi Moore, Lauren Sanchez, and Jodie Turner-Smith) wore suit separates or gowns, the Oscar nominee turned heads with a completely transparent (and unlined) black chantilly lace top, matching pencil skirt, and black tuxedo coat draped over her shoulders.
The ‘One Battle After Another’ actress completed her bold look with black platform pumps, a silver chandelier brooch with a rhinestone knot, and an antique silver crown encrusted with rhinestones and pearls to assert her fashion supremacy.
In a cheeky twist, both pieces are recreations of jewelry stolen from the Louvre last October, according to Vanity Fair.
Taylor relies on Schiaparelli for her most memorable red carpet moments, most recently at the Golden Globes in a sculptural black halter-neck dress finished with a racy diamante thong.
“The cracks are covered in diamonds. They’re expensive!” the 35-year-old quipped of the step-and-repeat.
At the All’s Fair premiere in Paris in October, Taylor turned heads in a gold metallic mesh dress that hugged every curve of her body.
That same month, she attended the Desert Diamonds bash wearing a surrealist leather Schiaparelli coat embossed to look like crocodile skin.
And at the Disney Upfront in May, Taylor dazzled in a denim set adorned with the fashion house’s signature gold bijou buttons shaped like eyes, ears, and lips.
With awards season just beginning, we’re sure to see style stars wearing Schiaparelli styles making more head rings in the coming months.
