Gisele Bundchen and Joaquin Valente got married earlier this month. Sources have detailed why they kept the ceremony secret, and the model is reportedly doing very well in Miami.
This week, it was reported that Gisele Bündchen married her partner Joaquin Valente in early December. The couple kept their wedding a secret for several weeks, but the ceremony reportedly took place in Surfside, Florida. A source in Miami now tells People that the model wanted to be as private as possible as she and Valente take their next steps together.
“While Gisele is tired of all the attention to her personal life,[she and Valente]are both very happy together and it’s what they wanted as they just became parents. They are best friends with a lot in common and are very excited about everything,” the source said. “Giselle just wants to do things her own way, and a small, non-private event is what she wants.”

They went on to say that Bündchen is doing very well with Valente and their son, whom she welcomed earlier this year, at her home in Miami. She also has two children, Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex-husband Tom Brady.
“Her life is full of kids, loving family and work, but it’s more manageable,” the source said. “She’s happy to be remarried, happy to be a mother, and happy with her circumstances. She’s in an enviable position.”
Another source elaborated on the wedding, saying Bundchen didn’t want anything “excessive.”
“Giselle was happy and in love and marriage was in her plans. The timing had to be right. She didn’t want anything over the top or public so they could both enjoy the day and the family,” they explained. “Everything is going well and fulfilled for her. People close to her are very happy for her. The marriage was the right thing to do.”
