JoJo Siwa and boyfriend Chris Hughes have hinted they might get engaged ahead of their first Christmas together.
“There’s always people getting engaged on Christmas or Christmas morning. Every year on Instagram, you see people getting engaged,” Hughes said in an interview with The Sun published on Saturday.
“I kind of like the idea that we’re at a point where[an engagement]is expected.”
“Okay,” Siwa replied. “Let me guess, okay?”
The 22-year-old dancer also admitted that she bought a ring for Hughes, 32, and considered proposing to him.
But the Love Island alum, 32, said she found the idea “uncomfortable”.
“I’ve talked to people about it, in front of you, of course, and I actually said that I would be really uncomfortable if someone proposed to me,” he told Siwa.
The only way the “J Team” star could pose the question is if Hughes didn’t ask her to get married within seven years.
“I don’t think anyone should take seven years,” Hughes said. “If you want to marry someone, it shouldn’t take you seven years to decide. You know what I’m saying?”
“So you can stop doing that, and that will never happen,” the TV personality continued.
Mr Siwa quipped that Mr Hughes would have been “on one knee” on May 27, 2032, if he had not asked the question.
“I won’t wait another day,” she joked.
The pair first met while filming Celebrity Big Brother UK in April and reportedly got along very well on set.
A source told the US Sun that the pair “spent the day holding hands at the hotel, looking like a giddy couple in the early stages of love.”
The pair confirmed their relationship the following month while packing on the PDA in Mexico, and Hughes told Sons Fabulous Magazine in July that he “loves” marrying Siwa.
