Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman feel like they’re a real-life couple after playing lovers in the new movie Son Saint Bleu.
“We only shot for 36 days, but it feels like we’ve been married for a really long time,” Jackman joked to Page Six exclusively at the 2025 Gotham Awards.
Hudson kindly agreed.
“Yes, we have been married for quite some time!” she exclaimed.
The “Running Point” star added that he was happy with the atmosphere on set, saying, “It was very easy for us… We had fun working.”
“We enjoyed the experience together. It felt safe and trusting, which was fun,” she said, noting that Jackman, who was enthusiastic about the project even before the script was written, created a warm atmosphere.
“Song San Bleu” is based on a documentary about Mike “Lightning” Sardina, played by Jackman, and Claire “Thunder” Sardina, played by Hudson, musicians who started a Neil Diamond tribute band.
The 46-year-old “Almost Famous” star admitted that before filming, “I had no idea Diamond’s catalog was so extensive.”
Jackman, 57, said he was a big fan of the “Sweet Caroline” crooner, praising him as “one of the all-time greats and one of the greatest songwriters.”
“If he had never been on stage, he would have been an icon. But he’s actually one of the great performers, and I don’t think that’s a given.”
The “Les Misérables” star hopes their film “actually creates a whole new wave of interest in his music.”
Earlier in the evening, Jackman walked the red carpet with girlfriend Sutton Foster, 50. Last month, it was officially recognized by Instagram.
“Song Song Blue” will be released in theaters on Christmas Day.
