The Gotham Awards kick off awards season in New York City on Monday night with a livestream on Variety’s YouTube channel starting at 4pm PT.

At this year’s ceremony, hosted by the Gotham Film & Media Institute and held at Cipriani Wall Street, Paul Thomas Anderson’s action blockbuster “One Battle After Another,” which set a record for most nominations in history with six nominations, will compete against films such as “Hamnet” and “Train Dreams.” This is the third year the organization has removed budget caps for award consideration. Previously, to be eligible for Gotham, a movie’s budget couldn’t exceed $35 million.

Past Best Feature winners include Spotlight (2015), Moonlight (2016), and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), all of which won Best Picture at the Oscars.

In addition to crowning the honorees, the 35th annual ceremony will also feature several tributes to actors and filmmakers. They include Netflix’s “Frankenstein” (Guillermo del Toro, Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi), Noah Baumbach (“Jay Kelly”), Tessa Thompson (“Hedda”), Luca Guadagnino and Julia Roberts (“After the Hunt”), Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson (“Song San Bleu”), Jeremy Allen White and Scott.
