‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ alum Kelly Dodd is speaking out in defense of Meghan King.
The 50-year-old took to TikTok on Thursday to defend her former co-star after she lost custody of her child to ex Jim Edmonds.
“I just got off the phone with Meghan Markle Edmonds, who told me that she had put her other twin, Hayes, on Ritalin (used to treat ADHD), making her a ‘dangerous mother’,” Ms Dodd said in a video shot from her kitchen.
King shares 8-year-old daughter Aspen and 7-year-old twins Hart and Hayes with Edmonds.
Although Dodd and King have “had a lot of disagreements and a lot of fights” over the years, she “knows for a fact that[King]is a good mother.”
Ms. Dodd explained: “She stayed over at my house…when she had a boob job and a nose job, I can tell you, she loves those babies and loves those kids.”
She went on to call King, 41, an “amazing” parent, before adding that she hopes her fellow Bravolebrities “get their baby back.”
Dodd also asked her fans to pray for Dr. King and his family, adding: “Those kids and those girls need their moms. They need their moms. What’s going on is horrible. All we can do is pray for Meghan.”
Page Six has reached out to King’s representatives for comment, but no one was available at the time of publication.
On Wednesday, sources told Us Weekly that King lost custody of his three children and was granted supervised visitation following an investigation by Child Protective Services.
Officials said the arrangement is temporary and whether it becomes permanent will be determined at a public hearing in December.
The investigation is said to have been prompted by school staff filing a report about King with CPS.
King and Edmonds, 55, welcomed three children during their five-year marriage.
The former couple married in 2014, but ultimately broke up in 2019 after it was discovered that the former MLB star had been sending lewd messages to another woman.
After their divorce, the two agreed to share custody of their children.
But things took a turn for the worse in May when Jim’s current wife, Courtney Edmonds, called police to accuse King of trespassing on their property after arranging to remove her stepdaughter’s dress.
According to a police report obtained by PageSix, “Meghan refused to give Kourtney the dress and asked (her daughter) to pull away and speak to her.”
After being informed that Jim and Aspen were going to a baseball game, King allegedly yelled for his daughter from inside the house.
The former Bravolebrity eventually left the house, but later confronted Frontenac police.
However, King was not charged, and his attorney claimed that the situation had been “misrepresented.”
“Meghan made a brief phone call to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, had the door slammed in her daughter’s face, and then unceremoniously left her belongings on the porch. As she was leaving, she was unexpectedly stopped by multiple police vehicles and treated in what felt like unnecessary hostility,” the representative said.
Then in September, body camera footage was released in which King can be heard telling authorities that her ex-husband was “incredibly emotionally abusive.”
