Johnson Wen, the Australian influencer who grabbed Ariana Grande at the Singapore premiere of Wicked: For Good, has been jailed for his actions.

Wen reportedly pleaded guilty to one charge of public nuisance on Monday and was sentenced to nine days in jail, according to the Daily Mail.

Singapore District Judge Christopher Goh said Mr Wen, who disrupted events for other celebrities, said his “actions were premeditated” and “displayed a pattern of behavior suggesting he would do it again”.

“It seems like you are desperate for attention and when you do these things it seems like you are only thinking about yourself and not the safety of others,” Go told the 26-year-old social media star.

The judge then told Wen that he was “wrong” to think his actions would have no consequences.

“You should always remember that your actions always have consequences,” Goh said, according to the media.

After the sentencing, Wen told the judge, “I will never do it again,” and “I will stop getting into trouble.”

Mr Goh said the court “needs to send a signal to like-minded people that it will not tolerate any conduct that could damage Singapore’s reputation as a safe country”.
