Elsie Hewitt is in “extreme distress” while pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Pete Davidson.
The 29-year-old model detailed the difficult journey of her first pregnancy through her Instagram Stories, sharing that she was in pain “almost 24/7” and that Friday mornings in particular were “really bad.”
Hewitt explained that she had tried numerous methods to “manage the pain,” including exercise, stretching, physical therapy, acupuncture, energy healing, and steroid injections, but none seemed to be working.
“At this point, if I can think of anything I can do about the pain, I’ve tried it. I’ve tried everything, but the pain just keeps getting worse and I can’t walk,” she said.
“I’m just in so much pain and in so much pain every day. I actually don’t really see how it could get any worse.”
Hewitt added that she now believes she has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), although she previously revealed that she has endometriosis. According to the Mayo Clinic, this is a group of genetic disorders that affect connective tissue.
“So I’m turning to Instagram because I really want to talk to people who have experienced pregnancy and birth with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome,” she continued. “Then the pain goes away? Does it get better? Am I going to die?”
“I really want to feel a little bit of hope,” the actress concluded.
In an interview with People last month, Hewitt admitted she was “shocked” when she found out she was pregnant, as she thought her endometriosis would prevent her from having children.
“I was 100 percent sure that I was infertile and couldn’t have children,” she said.
She also revealed that she underwent surgery for the disease just before becoming pregnant. This was to “preserve her fertility” in hopes of starting a family one day.
Over the weekend, Hewitt posted something more positive on Instagram, sharing a hilarious video celebrating her boyfriend’s 32nd birthday.
The montage included a clip of Davidson cracking his toe dozens of times, even on a plane.
“Being unnaturally excited about VHS and old TVs and loving twirling my hair, we ♥️ You Pete are my best friend in the whole world,” she captioned the post, giving fans a glimpse into their home life.
Hewitt and Davidson announced via Instagram that they are expecting a baby in July.
“Now everyone knows we had sex,” Hewitt jokingly captioned the merry-go-round snaps, including one of a couple in a warm embrace and another from an ultrasound.
That same month, the “SNL” alum broke his silence about becoming a father, saying he was “very lucky and very, very happy.”
Davidson added that she was looking forward to “being able to take care of something.”
