What you need to know

Senada Greca, Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer, opens up to People about ‘fake health’ and misleading advertising for products claiming to have healthy ingredients She says she wants to ‘end fake health’ with the launch of nutritional supplement brand Aonic Greca wants to clear up the confusion that ‘just because it’s trending doesn’t mean it’s healthy’

For the past three years, Senada Greca has been Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer, something she never imagined when she entered the fitness industry more than a decade ago.

“I didn’t necessarily set out to train a celebrity,” she tells PEOPLE, “but then I got approached and we’ve been working together ever since. It’s just amazing, she’s so dedicated, so dedicated. That woman is really committed to every aspect of her life.”

In addition to the Kardashians, Greca’s celebrity clients include Miranda Kerr, Selena Gomez and Bebe Rexha.

In regards to his work, the trainer admits that he is constantly asked by clients which trending nutritional products they should use, especially when working with people in the public eye.

Greca calls this the “fake health” that abounds on social media.

“There’s so much confusion because everyone is trying to be an expert and give medical advice and tell you what you should and shouldn’t take,” she explains. “It’s mostly false advertising for ingredients and products that don’t necessarily provide the value or dosage to achieve the desired effect in the body.”

“Fake health has everything to do with fairy dust supplements,” she continues. “Put in a small amount of material just to put a label on the bottle.”

Greka, who grew up thinking that fitness and nutrition meant “staying thin because society wants us to stay thin,” says she feels a responsibility to help clear up some of the confusion.

So Greca developed her own company to “end fake health” based on the WeRise app, which provides full-body training and personalized nutrition.

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, Trainor launched a nutritional supplement brand called Aonic, which features science-based products that “deliver ingredients that do what they claim to do to your plate.”

“It’s been a goal of mine for a long time to be a part of this space,” she says. “Fitness is more important than what you do on the outside, and sometimes even more important than what you put in your body.”

Co-founded by entrepreneur Max Meyer, the brand’s “foundation product” is Aonic Complete, an all-in-one daily supplement containing 34 essential nutrients, including multivitamins, minerals, prebiotics, probiotics, postbiotics, omega-3s, superfoods, and vegetables.

Greka said she wanted something simplified to help her customers and others stay nourished in a saturated industry.

“Just because it’s trending doesn’t mean it’s healthy or has the proven track record it needs to be consumed in a healthy and impactful way,” she tells PEOPLE.

“That’s what we aim to do at Aonic: end false health and offer products that are truly science-based and in doses that are proven to work,” she added. “And I love what we’re putting out there.”
