Kristen Stewart wore a burgundy lace dress to the Hollywood screening of her new movie The Chronology Of Water. The event also marked Stewart and his wife Dylan Meyer’s first red carpet appearance since marrying in April. Stewart, who adapted Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir in her feature directorial debut, said the project reflected her desire to “move toward things that feel important.”

On October 26th, she attended a screening of her feature directorial debut, The Chronology of Water, during AFI Fest in Hollywood. She wore a fitted burgundy lace dress with matching leggings and black pumps. Her hair was worn in baby bangs and a high bun, and her makeup was kept to a minimum.
The screening also marked Stewart and his wife Dylan Meyer’s first red carpet appearance since their wedding in April. Meyer is the film’s producer. Stewart was joined on the red carpet by Imogen Poots, who stars in the project.
The couple last posed together at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Stewart directed, wrote and produced The Chronology of Water, an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch’s 2011 memoir. This story is about a competitive swimmer trying to make peace with his traumatic past. “When I read[the book]I thought, ‘Oh, shit. We need to get this off the ground and get this together,'” Stewart told The Hollywood Reporter in May.
When asked about his foray into directing, he said, “I’m not trying to show anyone anything. I’m trying to learn something. I’m just trying to use my eyes and my own hands to move towards what I feel is important to me. That’s directing, that’s not acting.”
“But I think being an actor is what got me here in the first place. There’s something forensically relevant about the position. It’s just about finding a voice. I think I need to get behind the camera because I’m extra equipped to listen to myself at this stage in my life, but I also think I need to make sure that I don’t ignore the fact that it was being in front of the camera that got me here.”
