Criss Angel claimed his “narcissistic” partner Shaunille Benson “destroyed our beautiful family by pursuing another man.”
The magician posted a lengthy message to his fans and friends on Instagram on Friday, saying he was “going through something personal.”
“Today I stopped chasing a narcissist, someone who destroyed a beautiful family by chasing another man,” he wrote.
“Never support someone who has damaged the lives of our beautiful children and those around them. Thank you all for your love and support during this extremely difficult time. Loyal, Xcriss,” he concluded.
Fans also noticed that he changed his Instagram profile to “Single father of 3 beautiful children ❤️.”
The two secretly married just before Valentine’s Day in February 2015 after dating for three years, but reportedly divorced shortly after.
In 2023, the illusionist proposed to her again, and they appear to be dating to this day.
Angel and Benson have three children: Johnny (11 years old), Christos Yanni (6 years old), and Ilucia (3 years old). Johnny has battled B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia on and off for years, but has been cancer-free since January 2022.
The Australian songwriter, who has been posting a ton of cryptic messages on Instagram recently, hit back at her husband’s message just minutes later. It was brought to her attention that “someone was trying to defame her,” so she posted a video telling her “truth.”
In response to her husband’s claims that she was “chasing another man”, she admitted that she had “sent a message to a rock star” because she hadn’t spoken to another man in 12 years “besides my baby daddy”.
She claimed she thought he would never respond, but also admitted that she “thought he was cute” and felt “lonely.”
She added that “infidelity was very present” in the relationship on the magician’s part, but “had to forgive” for the sake of the children.
“My quitting now has nothing to do with anyone else. Anyone who says that is just trying to hang on to the idea that there’s something more out there,” she said.
She also detailed a “heart-wrenching” incident that happened in their relationship four years ago.
“After giving birth to my premature daughter at 35 weeks pregnant, I was breastfeeding her when I received information from the universe that literally shattered my entire world,” she recalled.
“While I was breastfeeding my daughter, I realized that young girls were having to send really intense content, really personal disgusting, not disgusting, really heartbreaking content to their bosses.”
A representative for Criss Angel could not immediately be reached for comment to Page Six.
Ms Benson admitted that she “should have quit then”, but was troubled by the “harsh reality” that she had “no assets” and “nothing” belonged to her.
“I’m a good woman,” she continued. “I’ve always been based on the family unit. I’ve allowed a lot of things to make my family work. I’ve turned a blind eye to things to make my family work,” she explained.
Ms Benson said she was “living a lie” and ultimately “decided to break up and go our separate ways”, calling on other disgruntled mothers to stop staying in their marriages “for the sake of the children”.
