Today in Berlin, Zendaya traded in her preppy Americana for sleek leather just hours after stepping out in a sporty Coach look. At a Spider-Man: Brand New Day fan event, the actress wore a black two-piece ensemble featuring a cropped leather top and a coordinating low-rise skirt with a floor-sweeping train. She accessorized with statement blue earrings, while her husband and co-star Tom Holland wore a dark suit layered over a bright red shirt and tie.
Their looks appeared to include clever references to the movie they were there to promote. Zendaya’s Lydia Courteil earrings featured a spider web-like motif, and Holland’s tie was finished with tiny spider embellishments.
Zendaya’s all-black ensemble marked a departure from some of the lighter looks she’s worn throughout the Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour, including the red Coach jersey-inspired outfit she debuted earlier in the day.
The Berlin appearance also came on the heels of a major milestone in the couple’s relationship. Earlier this month, Holland publicly confirmed that he and Zendaya had secretly tied the knot after years of speculation. In an interview with British Esquire, the actor said, “We can support each other in a way that only we can, because we’re the only ones who really understand what it’s like to live this life. I think that’s such a luxury, because other people… Because I don’t understand how someone can do something like that. So for me, I found who I am. She’s my best friend and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been with her, but I’ve never felt so supported and safe.
